I write about pop culture, media and style.
This is my website.
And now, a few questions to answer:
Q. What do you do besides blog?
I’m in the beginning stages of graduate study in Human Computer Interaction. So, it shouldn’t be too far of a stretch for me to have a blog, right?
Q. How old are you?
Old enough to drive and get in R-rated movies. But, I was born August 17th and Leos love birthday presents.
Q. How long have you been blogging?
I’ve blogged at The Writerbabe Series since 2008, but I’ve been writing longer than that.
Q. What other kinds of writing do you do?
I have one published piece of fiction. I’ve written for newsletters and guest blogged. I occasionally interview people and write academic critiques of art forms no one has heard about.
I think essayist is appropriate. However, writer will do just as well. My current goal involves becoming a pop-culture observant, style obsessed, game enthusiast, anime-loving version of Malcolm Gladwell.
Q. Do people make fun of your name?
Without a doubt. And, yes, I’ve heard it before: That’s so Raven.Trust me, that is not a great way to start a conversation – with anyone.
Q. Who is The F and Mr. Engineer?
They are the same person, actually. The F became Mr. Engineer the day I married him.
Q. Hey, I remember you used to be a career blogger – what happened to that?
Nothing, really. I just got tired of writing about how to impress the boss and what it meant to have a happy career. Not that I won’t write about that again, it’s just limiting (and a bit boring) in my opinion.
Besides, I rather discuss the newest Bio Ware game. Or, shoes. Maybe both.
Q. How can I get in touch?
I’m pretty friendly, you can tweet me or send an email (raven@thewriterbabeseries.com)
